Once upon a flower...

Well, continuing with this journey and as I'm stuck at home with a sick kid, I will "expose" some of my exposure problems. As it turns out, a picture is not a picture, it is an EXPOSURE... huh! Who knew? I've been trying to not only go with my natural instinct for photography, but also learning from some books, magazines, and of course the (very much free) internet. And here I am showered with knowledge, more confused than ever, but I won't let my confusion get in the way of my dream (too many people did already).
Anyway, as I don't want to confuse you too, I'll just go ahead with my post: Once upon a flower. I don't know who is actually reading this, and who is actually just "liking"my posts so I don't feel bad :P Whichever the case I'll share this with you...
Back in the day when I was younger (way back, yes!) I used to "suck" on this flower's nectar while withered, I don't know if this habit is known worldwide but if any of you did it, please raise your hand... Hahaha! I hope you did cause it was DE-LICIOUS! So when I saw this particular flower I had this marvelous flashback, which honestly made me wonder why did I do that, and what happened to the flower after that... One thing I did know is that when the flower finally bloomed it turned into this simple yet short-lived beauty.
(Manual settings, ISO100, Aperture F7.1, Shutter speed 1/200,
Lens 18-55/3.5-5.6, Focal length 50mm)

I have so much to learn about exposure that I consider this picture a lucky strike, because honestly I was just playing with the camera and learning how to use it in MANUAL as oppose to AUTO, which makes the difference between knowing what I'm doing and getting lucky.
I hope you like this picture, and this blog of course... As I learn and share, I need to keep my inspiration alive and you're key to that, so please leave a comment when you can, good or bad, I'll take it ;)
Enjoy your beautiful day!
